Thanksgiving Break
Over Thanksgiving my dad had some business to do in Naples, Florida, so me my mom my dad and my brother went down to spend turkey day on our own. We usually cook a huge traditional feast with my whole family, but this year we would be eating somewhere in a hotel, which I was pretty worked up over. I was expecting sunny 80 degree weather and warm waters, but no it was rainy and colder than it was in Philly. It was very weird eating thanksgiving just with my direct family and ordering turkey off a menu, but it was very good and I ended up having a lot of fun in cold rainy Florida

the Tank Man
The Tank Man is a world famous image because it shows one person standing up against a huge power to fight for what he believes in. The fact that he is an unidentified person adds to the mystery and power of being an icon for many around he world. By being an anonymous person, it sends the message that anyone can stand up for what they believe in, and gives hope to civilians trying to stand up for themselves like the tank man did.

Eileen Neff
This weeks lecture was yet another one that was hard to follow. If the microphone worked better and actualy carried her voice accross the room, then it would be easyer to concentrate on what she was saying. She had a very interesting style, even though I did not particularly care for some of her work. I like how she displayed her art, because she thought of how they all looked as a whole not just as individual pieces. It is interesting how in some exhibits she even put all of her peieces together to make one larger piece of art. Most of her photography was interesting to look at, but others I could not understand as well. Such as, she used the same landscape for multiple pieces, and I did not find the landscape to be anything very interesting to look at. Overall she was a interesting artist and even though the presentation was not the most energetic and fun, her art was refreshing and creative.

Sharon Louden
I really enjoyed this lecture. It was refreshing how she was so animated and energetic, and the fact that we could actually HEAR what the speaker was saying for once was nice. Her glow in the dark work was genious, I would love to have one in my house. They are so unique and now I am inspired to use glow in the dark supplies as well. The animations I did not like as much though...they were very slow and felt like it needed something else, sound wouldnt have hurt. Maybe some of her husbands jazz or SOMETHING. Overall she was a very inspiring woman who was very passionate about her work and I enjoyed the speech.
